Through a test blasting program, guidelines were developed for blasting the foundation for the new parking facility located in downtown Juneau. The area was surrounded by previous development including a tunnel within 11 feet of the excavations neatline. The project included writing specification for the drilling and blasting as well as reviewing blast plans.
