Instrumentation

In the area of rock mechanics instrumentation, Agapito Associates, Inc., (AAI) is capable of

• evaluating and recommending the instrument best suited for measuring and monitoring a specific problem

• providing specifications and cost estimates for instrumentation programs

• supplying instruments through our distributorship with Rock Mechanics Technology (RMT)

• installing, including drilling, and monitoring a variety of instruments

• data management

We have experiencing with TDRs (time domain reflectometry), BPCs (borehole pressure cells), vibrating wire instruments, inclinometers, sagmeters (tell-tales), stress measurements, and extensometers, piezometers.

Agapito Associates, Inc. is an an authorized RocTest-Telemac (RocTest) integrator, offering instrumentation expertise and installation services.  RocTest is a world leading manufacturer of Vibrating Wire and Fiber Optic high-precision measuring instruments. RocTest products are used in mining and civil engineering projects, including surface and underground mines, dams, tunnels, and nuclear and other large infrastructure works.  For more than 50 years, RocTest has been offering a wide range of cutting-edge solutions for geotechnical applications worldwide.  The RocTest Group counts on more than 140 employees with two manufacturing plants in the province of Quebec, satellite sales offices in France, Hong Kong and two US home office employees located on the East and West coast.
