Dr. Qiu has over 10 years of experience in mining engineering. Biao’s expertise includes resource and reserve estimation for potash, trona, borate, coal and metals; prefeasibility, feasibility and detailed design for various mining projects; rock mechanics, numerical modeling, ground support design and stability analysis, ground subsidence analysis for underground conventional mines; wellfield design, cavern modeling and optimization, brine simulation and production scheduling for solution mines. Biao holds a PhD in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado and Province of Saskatchewan.
