Mehrdad holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, where his research focused on characterizing time-dependent damage evolution in rock during brittle creep. He has a strong interest in applying rock mechanics principles to address geomechanical engineering challenges. He is a Project Engineer at Agapito Associates, where he uses numerical modeling and experimental approaches to characterize soil and rock behavior, support stability design, and solve surface and underground engineering problems.
